According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women worldwide. It is also the second leading cause of death in women. In 2004, breast cancer claimed about 519, 000 lives across the globe. This malignant tumour accounts for 16% of all global cancers cases; 22.9% of invasive cancers; and is responsible for 18.2% of all cancer deaths worldwide. Survival rates for breast cancer exhibit considerable worldwide variation; ranging from 80% or above in North America, Sweden and Japan, to around 60% in middle-income countries; and less than 40% in low-income nations (Coleman et al., 2008). The low survival rates in less developed countries essentially arises from the lack of early detection programs; resulting in a high proportion of women seeking medical attention for their cases, at a relatively advanced stage of the tumour. This situation is exacerbated by the absence of adequate diagnostic and treatment facilities in these countries. As of January 1, 2009, there were about 2,747,459 women alive in the United States with a history of breast cancer. Approximately 12% or 1 in 8 women in the USA will develop breast cancer at some stage in their lives. In the USA, breast cancer has the second highest rate of all cancer-related deaths. In 2010, 49,564 women and 397 men in the UK were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. In 2010, there were 11,556 female and 77 male deaths from invasive breast cancer in the UK. In Taiwan, breast cancer incidents have risen from 6.23 per 100,000 in 1970 to 23.76 per 100,000 in 2000. Among all types of cancers reported in 2005, breast cancer was the second most frequent cancer in women; and was the prime killer of all invasive cancers. In Japan, the number of new breast cancer cases per year was estimated to be 41,490 in 2005. Since 2001, breast cancer had been the fifth leading primary cancer in South Korea, and the most common type of cancer among Korean women. As of 1996, breast cancer incidents steadily increased from 3,801 cases in 1996 to 9,668 newly diagnosed cases in 2004. In Sweden, breast cancer accounts for 30% of all female cancers, and 0.2% of all male cancers. The annual increase in breast cancer cases is 1.5 % over a 20-year period; and 1.6 over a 10-year period. In Canada, breast cancer is the most widespread cancer among females, with an estimated 28.9% new cases each year. In South Africa, breast cancer accounts for 8% of all cancer-related deaths. Every woman in every country in the world is at risk of getting breast cancer; though the magnitude of this risk varies from country to country, and from woman to woman. Even women considered to be at low risk of developing breast cancer should also adopt rigorous preventive measures to avoid the disease. Researchers and scientists all over the world are unanimous that: as far as breast cancer is concern, prevention is the best cure. To read more, please click here.

Food and Breast Cancer

Acclaimed breast cancer research institutions and prominent scientists around the world are all unanimous that, an overwhelming majority of breast cancer cases are perfectly preventable. It has long been established that a substantial number of breast cancer cases arise from the substances we assimilate into our bodies in the name of food. Therefore, careful selection of the products we consume as food, constitutes a proven excellent way to prevent breast cancer. Remember, one highly esteemed maxim states: All that glitters is not gold. Just because a food item is glamorously packaged and well presented in a supermarket does not imply that the content of such a product would be of benign impact to our system. Certain food items are virtuous, while others are vicious. Therefore, it’s imperative for a woman to distinguish food items which kill her health, as opposed to food items that will enhance and sustain her health. Women can make it a faithful duty to consume only products which offer them protection from breast cancer and fortify the immune system. This way, a woman would considerably increase her chances of never ever getting breast cancer.
Breast cancer subjects women to an agonising emotional roller coaster; and summons untold distress upon love ones, family, friends and well wishers.
Society has become so corrupt that people at times opt to masquerade or deliberately withhold the truth, as long as that would pay tribute to their bank balance. For instance, there are numerous companies which produce food items which are fatal to human health; but they blatantly and heartlessly continue producing such poisonous food items. Even if they are keen to generate some income, one wonders why such companies cannot at least consider producing products that enhance human welfare. Therefore, nowadays, it’s possible for someone to enter a supermarket and purchase breast cancer, or indeed any other disease, with the hope that one is buying a nutritious food item. The secret is for women to know the truth and the facts, so that they can strenuously distant themselves from products that have been scientifically proven to cause breast cancer.
A woman should exercise considerable diligence in observing simple proven measures for preventing breast cancer.
So, these companies which package diseases in the name of food, have entirely switched off their consciences. To them, money is money, regardless of the means by which it is acquired. Sometimes even governments deliberately turn a blind eye to some of these companies, because more often, they are all in a circle of mutual lobbying. Therefore, since we can neither trust the government nor society to protect our health, we are obliged to do it ourselves.
So, once we consume these poisonous products and our health is entirely shattered, we then shoulder the burden alone, while the real culprits continue to enjoy unlimited immunity from prosecution, while continuously poisoning more and more people. The pitiful feature about the whole matter is that, we use our hard earned income to purchase these poisonous products in the name of food and beverages. Once our health collapses, our wallets are further drained by hospital bills.
Health is our most valuable asset; and whosoever defrauds it through commercial deception, is guilty of the most hideous crime. Any company which blatantly sustains the profitability of its business by degrading the health of its consumers should be adjudged a dangerous weapon of social degeneracy. Such a company is in effect, guilty of premeditated commercial genocide.
Protecting each other against the awful acts of unscrupulous companies requires action. That is why the author has taken the pain to produce an empowering e-book, to help women know the complete truth about breast cancer prevention. The book is titled: How to Avoid Getting Breast Cancer When Prevention is the Best Cure. This book presents excellent breast cancer preventive measures, as approved by the most trusted breast cancer research institutions around the world.
